Thanks for this reminder.  As it turns out, I'm working on a similar topic for my Blog.
I think at some level we KNOW the importance of making a connection with our reader.  Afterall, what is the use of writing in a vacuum? It'd be like writing to a ghost, which makes little sense.

So how come we often miss that simple point? 

My guess is we sometimes yield to the temptation of rote writing.  Visualization is a great way to bring us back and anchor our content (especially one intended for marketing purposes)  to reality. It is always good to know who you are writing to -- even if it's yourself!</description>
