There needs to be some form of integrated marketing with the White Paper in order to build credibility and effectiveness. It's important for White Papers to be read and one way I have done it is to create banners with a simple message where once the user clicks on the banner ad, it takes them straight to the White Paper. It's also strategic to give the user the opportunity to download the White Paper so you can build a database on whom has been downloading and you can track them down for future White Papers that might be of use to them.
